Girl, 11, dies after electrocution in Toms River lagoon

After a young girl was electrocuted when she touched a metal boat lift in a lagoon, an article ran to address the risks of swimming near docks and boats. Robert Sweeney, D. O., contributed to the article, verifying that these types of deaths by electrocution are relatively rare. Stories of the young victims of drowning/near drowning continued to run and reference Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where one of the girls has been in critical condition since the incident on June 16, including:  Univision 41TAPinto  and the Courier-Post.
