Laurie Kane, M.D. Urogynecologic Reconstructive Surgeon Joins Hackensack Meridian Health Southern Ocean Medical Center

Patients Now Have Access to Urogynecologic Expertise in Southern Ocean County 


Manahawkin, NJ - Southern Ocean Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has expanded its women’s health programs with the recruitment of Laurie Kane, M.D., FACOG. Dr. Kane is board certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. 

Dr. Kane is a skilled urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic reconstructive surgery and treats urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder/urinary frequency, voiding dysfunction, and pelvic pain.  She focuses on finding the right treatment option for the patient – including the evaluation of surgical and nonsurgical options.   

Dr. Kane received her medical degree from New York Medical College (Valhalla, New York). She continued on to complete her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital (New York, New York).  She completed fellowship training in Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center (Long Beach, California).
