Nurse Navigators
Our Nurse Navigators are the patients’ main point of contact. We like to think of them as our shepherds who are highly clinically trained and specialize in oncology. Our nurse navigators have years of experience in the treatment of cancer patients. They are connected to all of the physicians that you will need to see while at Meridian. And, with their knowledge, connections and extraordinary care, they can make your journey easy and seamless. With a Meridian Cancer Care Nurse Navigator everything is possible.
From getting you an “impossible” appointment, to ensuring that all of your medical records, scans and labs get to the cancer team as soon as possible, they are there to help. They understand that it’s a difficult time and will assist you to ensure that you are informed, empowered and able to move throughout the cancer care center as easily as possible. They are your advocate from diagnosis to bedside.
As an invaluable resource to our patients and families, our Nurse Navigators will provide an array of services including:
- Answering questions about tests and diagnostics
- Coordinating treatment and follow-up care
- Assistance with making appointments
- Providing information on everything from support groups to medical insurance
- Ensuring a treatment setting of warmth, comfort, and hope
