2011LaurelAuxiliaryExecutivThe Laurel Auxiliary meets the first Friday of the month at the First United Methodist Church, 325 N. Green Street, Tuckerton. Meetings begin promptly at 1 p.m. Meetings begin promptly at 1 p.m. The Laurel Auxiliary was established in 1974 and engages in a variety of fundraising activities all to support Southern Ocean Medical Center. In recent years, gifts to the Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation from the Laurel Auxiliary have helped to purchase various pieces of clinical equipment including those used in the Southern Ocean Medical Center Oncology Center, the Center for Health in Little Egg Harbor, the new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the new Women’s Imaging Center.

The Laurel Auxiliary manages a thrift shop called the Second Time Around Thrift Shop, located at 123 East Main Street, Tuckerton. Shop hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Second Time Around Shop is stacked with everything from clothing for men and women to household items, books, and holiday items at unbelievably low prices.

Whether you are looking to volunteer by working the Thrift Shop or just looking to meet some new friends and help in a worthy cause, the Laurel Auxiliary may be just for you – especially if you live in the Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor area.
