Women ROCK Event on October 15 to Offer an Exciting Lineup for Women of All Ages

Hackensack Meridian Health offers free event to celebrate how women rock their life and rock their health!

Edison, NJ - The first-ever Women ROCK event will take place at Convention Hall in Asbury Park on Saturday, October 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., hosted by Hackensack Meridian Health. Women of all ages are invited to attend the free event, where they will rock out to great music, learn from “womenologists” during TED-type talks, and explore integrative health and wellness through hands-on activities, demonstrations and chats with experts. Lou Russo from 94.3 the Point will kick off and MC the event, and Olympic gold medal winner and soccer celebrity Christie Rampone will be in attendance.

Additionally, Women Who Rock Hall of Fame winners will be recognized at the event. Ladies in their teens to 90’s were selected from hundreds of nominations, demonstrating the many ways women are rocking our world and inspiring others. Come out and celebrate our winners, who include: Marie Wiliszewski (Matawan), Sophia Traina (Jackson), Danielle Gletow (Ewing), Jessica McGrail (Highlands), Joanne Jodry (Neptune), Barbara Tomaszewski (Red Bank), Virginia Kapl (Brick), Norma Pols (Brick) and Michelina “Dolly” Lo Sapio (Brick).

Women ROCK is designed to discover women’s health and well-being services available right in your community, and shop with extraordinary vendors who will provide great ideas on how to create more balance and beauty in your life. Free health screenings will also be offered.

A powerful lineup of speakers is planned, including Motivational Speaker and Life Coach Lois Barth, who will talk about “Courage to SPARKLE: Creating a Life that Lights You Up.” Other lecture topics include:

  • "Navigating the Five Pillars of Well-Being"
  • "Creating a Whole Heart"
  • "Using Essential Oils to Clear the Fog and Reach Your Full Potential"
  • "Exploring the Mind-Body Connection"
  • "Fostering Positive Relationships to Improve Your Well-Being"
