Hackensack Meridian Health’s Ann Gavzy, Esq., Selected as a First Chair Award Recipient of 2016

 

Neptune, NJ - Hackensack Meridian Health is honored to announce that Ann Gavzy, Esq., has been selected as a 2016 First Chair Award Recipient. Each year, the First Chair Award honors the top in-house counsels for their accomplishments in a wide range of categories, including hard work, innovation, and contributions to the legal community.

Ann joined Meridian Health in March 1997 and serves as executive vice president, general counsel, health network, for Hackensack Meridian Health. In her role, Ann is responsible for legal and regulatory matters affecting the health network, as well as coordinating transactions and employment/labor issues. She engages, directs and monitors outside counsel and ongoing litigation. Ann also works directly with Hackensack Meridian Health’s Board of Trustees and is highly respected for her knowledge and advice on legal and regulatory issues.

Ann has a history of being recognized for her legal expertise and as a business leader.  In fact, she was the recipient of the NJBIZ “50 Best Women in Business” award and the NJBIZ “General Counsel of the Year” award.

The annual First Chair Awards Conference was held on August 31, 2016 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center in Chicago, Illinois.
