Neptune, NJ - John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president and CEO of Meridian Health, was recently  named to the prestigious Becker's Hospital Review list of  "130 Nonprofit Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know," for 2015.

The men and women on this list lead some of the largest, most successful and prominent nonprofit health care organizations in the country. They have overseen financial turnarounds, shown commitment to their community through memberships and governance involvement with various organizations, and helped advance the health care industry as a whole through their advocacy and professional efforts.

John leads one of New Jersey’s leading health care providers, encompassing Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, and Meridian Partner Companies that include home health services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, ambulatory care, ambulance services, fitness and wellness centers, and outpatient centers.

Under his leadership, Meridian Health has grown and evolved into a leading provider of quality health care in the region, with a special focus on clinical quality, nursing excellence, and innovative technology applications. Meridian Health has consistently been rated among the top performing health systems in New Jersey for clinical quality, has been recognized by FORTUNE Magazine as a one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” in America, and is the recipient of numerous state and national recognitions for patient care and nursing excellence, including the distinction of being the first health system in the country to receive Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

He has also been recognized by the New Jersey Hospital Association as its Healthcare Professional of the Year.
