Southern Ocean Medical Center Golf Outing Slated for June 25

David Caldarella of David’s Dream and Believe Foundation to be honored at event with Community Health and Wellness Award  

Manahawkin, NJ - The 24th Annual Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation Invitational Golf and Tennis Outing will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway, NJ. All proceeds benefit Southern Ocean Medical Center.   

The event features a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. for golfers and a 2:00 p.m. start for tennis players. Player gifts include a $50 gift card to the pro shop for golfers, and a $20 gift card to the pro shop for tennis players. A 50/50 cash raffle and a cocktail and awards reception dinner will also take place following the sporting events. Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club is one of the area’s most beautiful and challenging courses.

As a new element to the annual outing, the foundation present the first Community Health and Wellness Award. The award is designed to recognize an individual or an organization who has exhibited an exemplary commitment to the health and wellness of the community by addressing a service or program that brings health, healing, or hope to those impacted by a medical condition. David Caldarella, founder of David’s Dream and Believe Foundation, is the 2014 recipient of the award. He will be honored at the awards reception the night of the golf and tennis outing.

Registration for an individual golfer is $375 per person and the fee for a foursome is $1,400. Tennis is $200 per person. Costs include the awards and reception dinner. Other guests who would like to show their support for David Caldarella and the foundation are welcome to attend the evening reception for $100 per person.

In addition to golf and tennis, corporations can support the event through sponsorship opportunities. Prominent signage on the course and recognition in the invitational program are included in sponsorships.  This year’s event sponsor is Seacrest Village Nursing and Rehab. All proceeds from the event benefit the Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation, which provides financial support for the programs and services of Southern Ocean Medical Center.
