Southern Ocean Medical Center to Present Multiple Sclerosis Event for
Patients and Caregivers August 9

 

Manahawkin, NJ - Southern Ocean Medical Center is hosting a multiple sclerosis lecture by board certified neurologist Tommasina Papa-Rugino, M.D. on August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The event is open to patients and caregivers and will focus on diagnostics, treatment options, and coping skills.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease of the central nervous system. It is an unpredictable condition that can be relatively benign, disabling, or devastating. Some individuals with MS may be mildly affected, while others may lose their ability to see clearly, write, speak, or walk when communication between the brain and other parts of the body becomes disrupted.

Dr. Papa-Rugino’s talk is sponsored by Southern Ocean Medical Center and will be held on August 9 from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the Family Resource Center at the Ocean Club, Stafford Township. Registration for this free event is required and can be completed by calling 1-800-560-9990.
