Southern Ocean Medical Center Launches Concierge Care

New Program Supports Promise to Provide the Best Healthcare Experience  

Manahawkin, NJ - Southern Ocean Medical Center has implemented “Concierge Care” to deliver the best health care experience to patients and their families. While clinical care remains the Hospital’s top priority, it is now enhancing the total hospital experience of patients with a new service called Concierge Care.

“At Southern Ocean we understand that our patients and guests experiences go beyond the exceptional clinical care we deliver,” says Medical Center president Joe Coyle. “Our goal is to make every guest we see as comfortable as possible and help make patients and guests feel at home while they’re away from home for a hospital stay.”

The Concierge Care service, available to all patients and guests of the Medical Center, is designed to meet nonclinical needs. Similar to what one would find in a hotel, the concierge welcomes visitors in the main lobby and is available to assist patients and visitors with a variety of needs, from transportation questions to information requests to ordering flowers or gifts. Other common services provided include notary services, birthday and anniversary celebrations, haircuts, and pet services.

And it’s completely complimentary. The only charges patients and guests might incur would be for any goods or amenities, such as a massage or meal delivery from a local restaurant that the guest chooses to purchase.

Concierge Care is available seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is also an answering service for after-hours requests. Patients and visitors can easily take advantage of Concierge Care by dialing extension 1111 within Southern Ocean Medical Center or by visiting the concierge desk in the main lobby of the hospital.
