Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation Names Honorees for  the 40th Anniversary Chrysanthemum Ball


Manahawkin, NJ - Elegant dining, fabulous dancing, and a poignant tribute to outstanding community leaders all top the bill for the SOMC Foundation's 40th Annual Chrysanthemum Ball, to be held on Saturday, November 5th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Caesars Atlantic City. 

The James J. Mancini Award for Community Service will be presented to Deacon Albert Schwind, SOMC Foundation trustee.  The Robert S. Irvin, MD, Award for Medical Service will be presented to John Kenny, DO, past president of the Medical Staff at Southern Ocean Medical Center, and past chairman of Family Practice. The Zena Josephson Award for Volunteer Service will be presented to Judy Brophy, SOMC Foundation trustee and president of the Boosters Auxiliary.  

The event's dinner show will feature, "Welcome to Burlesque" a lively musical dance show.  Guests will dance to the sounds of Soular Rhythm.  There will also be a silent auction, and the drawing of the Chrysanthemum Ball 50/50 Raffle.  The 50/50 raffle tickets are $50, and only 500 tickets will be sold.
